Delete your account and associated app data

Email us from the address used to sign in to the Parent App. Include your name and the school or organisation shown in the app so that we can verify the request. Never send your password, authentication code or school invitation code.

Requests are sent to legal@blundens.com. We may contact you or the relevant school to verify your identity before acting.

Delete selected data without deleting your account

You may keep your Parent App account and request deletion of selected app-specific data. Email us from the address used to sign in, identify your school or organisation and describe the data you want deleted. Do not include passwords, authentication codes, invitation codes or copies of sensitive school records.

We will confirm which app-specific data can be deleted without removing the account and explain any information that must be retained.

What the request removes

Once the request has been verified, we will remove or irreversibly anonymise the Parent App account data that is no longer required. This includes mobile authentication identities, active mobile sessions and tokens, registered-device access and app-specific account preferences. The account will no longer be able to sign in to the Parent App.

School records are separate

Deleting a Parent App account does not automatically delete the contact, dependent, attendance, safeguarding, catering, payment or other education records held in the school MIS. The relevant school or organisation normally controls those records. It determines whether they must be corrected, erased or retained under its legal duties and retention schedule.

If your request also concerns school-controlled records, identify the school in your email. We will direct the request to the school or assist it as its processor whether you request deletion of all associated data or selected records only. The school will explain what can be deleted and any retention period that applies.

Information that may be retained

We may retain the minimum information required for security, fraud prevention, legal claims, regulatory compliance and auditable proof that the deletion request was completed. That restricted information is kept only for the applicable legal, contractual or school-approved retention period and is not available through the deleted Parent App account.
